The Mourning Cloak of Autumn

The wind whistles around the houses here, not cold, but just boldly enough to let us know we are upon the eve of Halloween. Neighbors rake their yards.. it rains a sprinkly little rain every now and then.. the sun comes out then goes behind the clouds again.

The depth to a man's heart is the same as the depth to a woman's heart. Created as equals, God nevertheless gives to the man and woman each, generous portions of all that implies differences.. yet, different as we are, the stresses and the torments and anxieties we each go through, are not more than each other..

Some men like to say that they are more sensitive.. women say they are more sensitive.. I say that one sexual genre is not more sensitive than the other, but that we have moments.. that are different.

This longing, this aching in my heart.. this lonliness which I feel is killing me.. won't, I am sure, kill me at all.. that I will survive it.. because I have a deep inner strength.. and a strength of purpose.. given me by a God who has me working a deeply covert operation.. a matter not of national security concerns, but one of spiritual concerns.. matters for which He prepares my heart.. mind.. psyche..

The spiritual warfare we are involved in, in this life, has each of us girding up for battles.. differently.. the one thing that is NOT different is the one thing He wants us all to have in common- is what He can do for us if we will live and breathe and be in His word.. no holding back.

Scriptures are of major and most important intel, so important that there is no margin for error. If God says that the Sabbath is the 7th day, Saturday, then it is. Man cannot change that. Not even by changing the calendar, times, or laws. Nothing is going to change the fact that God says that the seventh day is His, His day of rest, a day set aside for us to spend with Him and IN Him. We can deny it, live in denial, refuse to accept what the bible says, refuse to allow God's Holy Spirit to direct our minds and refuse to allow the Spirit of God to convict the heart of whatever it is He wants you to be convicted of.. the fact is, human beings being human as they are, are only going to accept from God what they want from Him. People who say they love Jesus and that He is more important than anything else in their life.. are liars.. if they are refusing to allow God to convict them that they should be seventh-day Sabbath keepers..

But then we are all liars.. we are all sinful.. born in sin.. living in sin.. but those who are true beleivers are doing something important- most important! When they pray before bible-study, they ask God to soften their hearts.. to prepare them to receive what He wants them to recieve.. and not more of what they want. You see, when we approach God, if we are doing so with an honest and open mind and heart, we are asking Him to do more than let us keep on being "comfortable".. we should be ready give up self.. to what God wants. If He asks for surrender.. do we surrender? or do we only partially surrender? Got something you are holding out on Him? Something you are not willing to give up? Are you not willing to make total and complete sacrifice to the one who asks for your all?

Then test Him.. accept the Sabbath. The seventh day of the week as the day of rest of the Lord our God in Heaven.. Oh yes.. be prepared.. because Satan WILL attack you.

What is popular with the world.. with men.. is dirt in the eyes of God.
